Affinity Water has a fantastic opportunity available to become a Project Manager - Liaison Engineer, working alongside our Liaison Engineers.
The Role:
The Project Manager - Senior Liaison Engineer (SLE) at Affinity Water plays a key role in leading the management and execution of water infrastructure projects, such as new mains and diversions, while providing technical support to Liaison Engineers.
Reporting to the Self Lay Lead, this role involves overseeing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. The SLE focuses on customer service, safety, and project excellence, maintaining relationships with developer-customers and ensuring projects align with Affinity Water’s commitment to ‘Zero Harm’ and customer satisfaction.
What you'll be doing:
You will be responsible for supporting complex works and maintaining high standards across operational and strategic areas. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and supporting complex water project initiatives, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards.
* Championing the 'Zero Harm' safety culture and adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Mentoring and supporting Liaison Engineers to develop their skills and teamwork.
* Preparing and presenting detailed monthly reports to leadership, highlighting issues, achievements, and strategies.
* Leading liaison days with network and operations teams to foster collaboration.
What you'll need:
* In-depth knowledge of water networks & supply systems or equivalent.
* APM-P, PRINCE2 certification, or equivalent.
* Experience in health & safety initiatives in construction environments and delivering RAM.
* Mentoring and coaching experience.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
* Full UK Driving License.
