An exciting opportunity has arisen within Infrastructure, Stirling Council, for a Temporary Janitor for 6 months at Bannockburn High School.
The post involves providing janitorial services on a full-time basis (35 hours per week) to support the High School community.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 22:00, on a shift basis to cover daytime and out-of-school activities, which may include weekend work. The role includes a 60-minute unpaid break paid at Stirling Council's Grade 5. Personal protective equipment (PPE) and training will be provided as necessary.
Applicants should be physically fit, as porterage and heavy lifting are significant parts of the role, and be prepared to work outdoors in inclement weather. Occasional overtime in the evenings may be required to cover school lettings.
A basic working knowledge of IT is necessary, and applicants should be willing to undertake training to use Stirling Council’s online training and HR IT applications. PPE, tools, and training will be provided.
The successful candidate must be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If progressed after the interview, verification will be required.
