General Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Estimator to join our heating installation team. This is a dynamic role combining technical design with cost estimation, ensuring our projects are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Youll play a key part in turning client requirements into practical designs and competitive quotations.
Key Accountabilities
1. Produce detailed CAD drawings for heating systems, including pipework layouts, plant rooms, and equipment positioning.
2. Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labour, and subcontractor services.
3. Review tender documents and specifications to identify project scope and cost factors.
4. Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site teams to align design and cost requirements.
5. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and technical data.
6. Ensure all designs comply with building regulations, health & safety standards, and industry codes.

Who are we looking for?
Skills & Competencies
15. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP, or similar).
16. Strong knowledge of heating systems, HVAC components, and installation methods.
17. Analytical and numerical skills for accurate cost estimation.
18. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
19. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Qualifications or Required Experience:
20. 25 years experience in CAD drafting and estimating within heating/HVAC or building services.
21. Familiarity with UK building regulations and heating industry standards.
22. Strong IT skills, including MS Excel and estimating software.
