Job Description
As a core member of the Global Commercial Operations team, the Global Technical Client Project Manager acts as a bridge between global and regional sales teams, and our laboratory teams worldwide. In this role, you will –
1. Act as liaison between our strategic clients and our global laboratory network
2. Prepare and execute project plans for the contracted services, in close partnership with global and regional sales teams
3. Provide technical support and guidance to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction
4. Act as project manager for specifically assigned global client testing programs
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Client Management & Communication
Support clients on scientific and technical questions related to the service execution by SGS Pharma laboratory network:
5. Identify appropriate location(s) to execute the work and confirm capacity and capabilities
6. Ensure clients understand and agree with SGS technical approach to the contracted work
7. Maintain best-in-class communication between clients and the SGS Pharma laboratory network
8. Provide feedback / explanations to address any concern from clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
2. Project Management & Coordination
9. Prepare project plans, support or directly manage (multi-site, multi-region) client projects
10. Participate in project kick-off as Technical Client support ( act as the ‘voice of the customer ‘)
11. For specifically assigned global client testing programs – act as Project Manager / Technical Liaison during full execution of the work
12. Escalate to Global and Regional Operations Management any issues with capacity and capability that may endanger the clients’ projects
3. Business Development Support
13. During technical interactions with clients – identify new business development opportunities (further clients’ needs) and feedback insights to Business Development Teams
14. Keep abreast of latest technical and regulatory developments impacting the industry and feedback strategic insights to Business Development Teams
4. Governance & Compliance Oversight
15. Ensure all necessary information is obtained from clients to prepare accurate RFI/RFP/Work Orders
16. Monitor any regulatory issues that may impact the work and ensure these are duly communicated to both clients and our global laboratory network
Qualifications
17. Degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Biology, Chemistry or related scientific field
18. 5-10 years’ experience working as Scientist in a lab environment, or alternatively – PhD holder with 3-5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry
19. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a customer-facing, client service position
20. Experience in Pharma CMC analytical testing analysis
21. Experience in global project management (as Study Director, Senior Scientist, or Client Technical Manager)
22. Ability to convey scientific and technical explanations in a concise and comprehensible manner
23. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
24. Ability to work collaboratively across decentralized Teams
