Location: Hertfordshire + Sites Across Home Counties
Salary: £85,000 – £95,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Projects: Healthcare, Education, Commercial (New Build & Refurb)
Project Values: £1m – £5m
We’re recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager to join a respected and well-run main contractor with a reputation for delivering on time, on budget, and to high standards — no fluff, just good work.
You’ll take ownership of multiple projects (typically 3-4 live jobs at any one time) across the region, ensuring they run smoothly from pre-start through to handover.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee full project lifecycle from contract award to final account
*
Manage site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships
*
Ensure build quality, health & safety, and programme deadlines are met
*
Work closely with Commercial and Estimating to ensure margin protection
*
Report directly to the MD, with autonomy to run your own division
What You’ll Bring:

Experience as a Contracts Manager (ideally Senior) with a main contractor
*
Background in running multiple projects in live environments
*
Strong technical knowledge of new build and refurbishment
*
Clear leadership style — decisive, calm under pressure, respected by teams
*
Must be based within 1 hour of Hertfordshire
