I am currently looking for a Business Development Director for a fantastic global full-service clinical Contract Research Organization with a great culture and excellent proposition. This is an exciting, newly created role working with a high-performance global team. This CRO has a strong reputation with clients, is very stable, and has an excellent track record of year-on-year growth. You will be supported by a respected commercial team and some of the best clinical expertise in the industry, joining an organization with an excellent collaborative culture.
The role is an individual sales contributor position. It is remote, working from home, focusing on the UK/western European territory. You will be responsible for securing new business and managing accounts within pharma, biotechnology, and medical device companies across therapeutic areas including oncology, CNS, renal, and rare diseases, among others. Success in this role requires a hunter mentality and a strong network and sales track record in this region, selling full-service CRO solutions.
Your responsibilities include:
* Achieving sales and business development targets
* Creating and implementing strategies for target markets
* Prospecting to establish a sales pipeline and RFPs from potential clients
* Using Salesforce to track client activities and opportunities
* Leading and managing the sales process for generated and received leads
* Leading proposal development to align with client expectations
* Redefining profitable market niches based on evidence
* Providing input to marketing strategies
* Collaborating with leadership on sales targets and strategies
* Supporting the sales process with resources
* Engaging with agents and consultants in other regions
* Maximizing opportunities through internal research staff
* Attending conferences and trade shows to generate business opportunities
