This role covers three highways projects within our consult business. Mace provides NEC4 project management services (including support functions) to meet the responsibilities of the NEC project manager under the construction and technical assurance contracts, including assessments, reports, notices and certificates. Contract management and contract administration of project supplier contracts (e.g., utility providers) will be undertaken on behalf of the client. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on site or at the client’s office, and 2-3 days at Mace’s office or from home.

Responsibilities
* Lead reporting, feedback and advice on financial performance and forecasting, cost and schedule performance, cost auditing and assurance, risk management and contract compliance for the client’s project supplier contracts and for Mace’s appointment.
* Provide NEC4 project management services, including assessments, reports, acceptance, notices and certificates required under the relevant contract.
* Manage contract administration for all project supplier contracts (e.g., utility providers) in relation to each scheme on behalf of the client.
* Promote safety first and uphold Mace’s HSW framework to support safety and wellbeing of all staff; ensure adherence to local health and safety rules and regulations.
* Ensure robust quality systems are in place and managed in line with service excellence.
* Manage project delivery from inception/brief through design development and planning, contractor procurement and construction in accordance with the overall delivery program and milestones.
* Coordinate tasks and deliverables in support of the associate director and other senior leaders, with the wider project and client teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
* Lead and manage the project team and stakeholders to achieve strategic project KPIs.
* Collaborate with design and wider consultant teams to ensure effective completion of responsibilities; network, innovate and apply best practices across the Mace group.
* Develop and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders; manage budgets, risks and mitigations; support long-term development of the function or BU.
What You’ll Need To Have
* NEC4 ECC PM accreditation.
* Membership of APM, ICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
* Substantial experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the highways sector.
* Property or infrastructure project management expertise.
* Commercial and financial acumen.
* Experience of leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
* Experience of developing and forming relationships with senior stakeholders.
* Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
