The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tractor Driver & Workshop Engineer to join a well-established family-run arable farm in Essex. The business grows potatoes, wheat, barley, peas, beans, and linseed, and is now seeking a reliable, skilled individual to contribute to both seasonal tractor operations and year-round workshop engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating tractors for potato harvesting (May–October) and general arable duties
- Running irrigation systems and managing grading when required
- Overseeing workshop operations, including servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and resolving machinery issues quickly
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
The Candidate:
- Experienced tractor driver with proven arable background
- Strong engineering skills, with ability to work on machinery, including modern electronics
- Organised, methodical, and reliable; takes pride in machinery upkeep
- Flexible and committed, able to adapt to seasonal workload demands
The Package:
- Salary: £37, per year.
