An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Team Manager in the Children with Disabilities Team.

We are looking for a highly motivated, reflective, and creative professional to provide leadership and direction to the Children with Disabilities Team based at The Portal, Ellesmere Port. You will be a strong team player with great communication skills and a commitment to working collaboratively. A professional social work qualification is essential for this post.
The team operate on a hybrid working arrangement supporting work life balance though a flexible approach of working from home and in our council offices in Ellesmere Port. We work with children and their families who have complex health needs and disabilities who live across the Cheshire West and Chester borough, so some travelling will be required within the post.
The post holder will be an integral part of the Disabled Children and Young People’s service, demonstrating their commitment to leading a team, whilst supporting young people and their families.
Our Children's Social Care workforce is passionate and committed to improving outcomes for Children in our authority. We have embedded ‘Our Ways of Working’ with our service and multi-agency partners, enabling improved collaboration and one common approach to practice utilising Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed Practice. Social workers are encouraged to work creatively with children and their families with planning and decision-making in order to achieve positive outcomes. Our services to children with disabilities is supported by a variety of commissioned services enabling children to remain at home and supporting their transition to adulthood, including our own short-break residential home, Pinewood, who were inspected in February and graded as Outstanding for the rd year running.
