Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00

Home Working Consideration
Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council's Home Working and Worksmart Policies. Home or Hybrid working options can be discussed with candidates invited for interview. All applicants must live in the UK and will be expected to attend Council offices from time to time as required.
Job Details
To provide comprehensive legal advice and assistance to the Council in a wide range of statutory Local Authority functions.

Job Requirements
Relevant Qualifications
The Jobholder must hold a Degree in Scots Law and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice or equivalent. S/he must be admitted as a solicitor by the Law Society of Scotland and hold a Practising Certificate as a solicitor issued by the Law Society of Scotland with an in-depth understanding of Employment Law.
