This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded Service Business Manager to join a dedicated Senior Leadership Team and play a key role in shaping the operational excellence of a growing education service. About the Role As Service Business Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a broad range of business support functions, including Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Facilities, ICT, and Health & Safety. Working as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will ensure that all support services are delivered effectively, compliantly, and with a focus on continuous improvement. You will have significant autonomy and accountability, managing budgets, resources, systems, and teams to support outstanding educational outcomes. This is a highly influential role that combines operational leadership with strategic planning, offering the opportunity to drive meaningful change across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership across Finance, HR, Administration, Facilities, ICT, and Health & Safety functions. Lead and develop support service teams, driving high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement. Manage budgets, resources, and operational performance to ensure effective and efficient service delivery. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, safer recruitment, and relevant regulatory requirements. Oversee site operations, facilities management, and external contracts to maintain safe, welcoming learning environments. Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the continued growth and success of the service. About You We are looking for an experienced operational leader with: Proven experience managing multiple business support functions and teams. Strong financial and budget management experience. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of compliance, safeguarding, HR, and health & safety within education or a regulated environment.
