Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to work as part of a dedicated professional human resources team, maintaining best practice people management and development throughout the organisation and providing proactive, professional, and appropriate business-focused HR support to Managers and Staff. There will also be considerable involvement in recruitment and selection.
This 3-6 month role will include principal duties such as the following:
General HR activities:
* Provide effective, high-quality, and confidential HR support and advice.
* Uphold HR compliance, data protection (GDPR), and reporting to a high standard.
* Support exiting processes, HR projects, engagement & wellbeing.
* Assist in researching, devising, and consulting on legislative changes affecting employment.
* Ensure compliance with employee documentation and right to work checks.
* Lead or support workplace investigations in line with best practice.
Recruitment and Selection:
* Prepare and collate job details for vacant posts.
* Select, support, and brief shortlisting and interview panels. Act as a panel member at shortlisting and interview stages.
* Prepare aptitude/assessment tests and devise presentation/interview questions where appropriate.
* Complete pre-employment checks and references. Compile and issue Terms and Conditions for all new employees appointed and continually review terms and conditions of existing staff.
* Assist in the preparation of statutory and statistical returns (Fair Employment, Annual employment statistics including Article 55).
The successful candidate will have a minimum level 5 CIPD qualification with generalist experience supporting managers with employment relations matters (grievance, discipline, attendance, etc.) and end-to-end recruitment & selection process experience.
You will have strong knowledge of NI employment law and HR best practice, along with experience of Article 55 Review and Annual Fair Employment Returns.
A full driving licence and access to a car during working hours will be necessary (any applicants with a disability will need to demonstrate how they can meet the mobility aspects of the role). You will be based in Glengormley initially, moving to north Belfast in July, and the hours do have some flexibility.
