Job Summary
We are seeking dynamic, motivated and experienced Pharmacy Technicians to join our team on a fixed-term basis. Main Duties
* Provide excellent, patient-focused pharmacy care across busy inpatient wards, specialist outpatient clinics and satellite units.
* Participate in medicines management rotations, offering direct patient contact including taking accurate medication histories, medicines reconciliation, supporting the safe and effective use of prescribed medicines, and counselling patients on new treatments.
* Undertake dispensary duties including the accurate labelling, dispensing and checking of a wide range of prescriptions, such as controlled drugs, clinical trial medications, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), chemotherapy, home IV therapies and palliative care medicines.
* Use the EPIC electronic prescribing system and Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets accurately to deliver a safe, timely and cost-effective pharmacy service.
* Full training will be provided for all aspects of the role.

Job Responsibilities
* The post holder will be a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician responsible for delivering high-quality, safe and efficient pharmacy services.
* They will demonstrate excellent communication skills, accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of their work to ensure optimal patient care.
* The role requires the ability to work independently, manage workload effectively and contribute positively within a large, multidisciplinary team.
* The post holder will adhere to established policies and procedures, maintain professional and regulatory standards, and provide support to the wider pharmacy service as required.
Qualifications
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC.
* Recognised Accredited Checking qualification (desirable).
* Medicines Management experience / accreditation (desirable).
Skills & Knowledge
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Focus on quality patient-centred care.
* Computer literacy.
Experience
* Current / recent work in pharmacy sector.
* Experience of working in hospital pharmacy (desirable).
