Working Pattern: 32.5 Hours Per Week, Monday to Friday.

Outwood Academy Hindley is an 11-16 academy, based in Hindley, within Wigan, and we are proud to say that our OFSTED inspection in December 2024 cited that the school is ‘good’ in all areas and that we all “share a strong commitment to raising pupils’ aspirations”. I am excited to introduce you to Outwood Academy Hindley, recently judged 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted.
The report recognised our outstanding 'culture of care' and welcoming environment. We place a strong emphasis on staff development, guaranteeing excellent CPD opportunities for those passionate about improving their practice.

The English Department at Outwood Academy Hindley is an innovative and successful department. You'll join a dedicated leadership team who are passionate about creating and delivering outstanding lessons within our department. Our enthusiastic educators are further supported by our highly skilled and experienced English Directors providing continuous CPD and individual support.
The department boasts an exceptionally well-resourced and culturally rich curriculum, featuring cutting-edge classroom technologies that empower teachers to deliver dynamic and inspiring learning experiences. We nurture a close-knit and supportive team environment – a true family dedicated to maximising the potential of every student and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to succeed in the future.
