Site Engineer - Peterhead

Role Overview
The Site Engineer will support the delivery of early-stage civil works across a large-scale energy-infrastructure development. The role involves setting-out, surveying, quality assurance, and day-to-day technical support to the site team across earthworks, drainage, fencing and access-road construction.
Key Responsibilities
Provide accurate setting-out for earthworks, drainage lines, manholes, fencing locations and road construction.
Manage site surveys, as-built data collection and level checks.
Assist in developing ITPs, quality records, inspection reports and maintaining compliance with project specifications.
Support the delivery team in programming, daily task planning and coordination with subcontractors.
Monitor progress and report on quantities, productivity, and material usage.
Ensure all works adhere to health, safety, environmental and technical standards.
Liaise with designers, planners, subcontractors and the wider engineering team.
Assist with temporary works coordination and documentation.
Maintain site documentation in line with project governance and audit standards.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
Previous experience working on large civil-engineering projects (earthworks, drainage, roads, utilities or infrastructure).
Strong competence in setting-out equipment (GPS, Total Station, AutoCAD/Civil 3D).
Understanding of earthworks tolerances, compaction requirements and drainage construction sequencing.
EUSR Category 1 & 2 (or willingness to obtain).
CSCS card (Engineer/Technical).
HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Desirable
Experience working on major energy, transmission or substation projects.
Knowledge of NEC contract environment.
