Role Overview
As Technical Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of our events. You’ll work closely with the Head of Events and wider team to ensure all technical aspects of production run smoothly – from lighting and audio to staging and visuals. This is a hands-on role that requires strong project management skills, a good understanding of AV equipment, and a can-do attitude.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end technical production for events, from planning to de-rig
* On-site setup and breakdown of AV equipment including lighting, screens, sound systems, and staging
* Oversee logistics for equipment transportation and crew scheduling
* Work closely with entertainers, clients, and venues to ensure seamless delivery
* Conduct site visits and produce technical specifications for events
* Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed during production
* Liaise with suppliers and freelancers where required
* Clean UK Driving Licence (ability to drive vans and transport kit to event sites)
* Strong practical understanding of audio-visual equipment. (Sound desks, lighting rigs, screens, etc. Plus knowledge of industry software such as QLab.)
* Proven experience in production/project management within events, theatre, or live entertainment
* Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and think on your feet
* Comfortable with hands-on work including lifting, rigging, and setting up technical gear
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Flexible schedule – availability for evening/weekend work as needed
* A strong team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
* Experience in live performance or entertainment industry
* Formal training or certifications in AV or technical production
* Knowledge of health & safety regulations and risk assessments
* Familiarity with event planning software or project management tools
