Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Hours: Friday Sunday, Nights, 6pm 6am
Salary: £42,090 per year
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated foundry maintenance team. In this critical role, you will be the first line of defence against machinery breakdowns diagnosing faults, repairing die-casting machines, and ensuring production runs at maximum efficiency. From routine servicing to complex installations, youll provide expert maintenance support across our production areas, offices, and wider facilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality in-house maintenance services to production departments, offices, and site facilities.
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
* Respond rapidly to breakdowns, minimising downtime and keeping production on target.
* Install and commission both new and existing equipment.
* Carry out routine servicing and planned preventative maintenance.
* Work alongside the Maintenance Manager and fellow engineers to resolve complex issues.
* Test, inspect, and repair machinery, replacing electrical/electronic components (relays, switches, motors) and mechanical parts.
* Reset electrical panels and restore equipment to service.
* Keep accurate, up-to-date maintenance records.
* Recommend improvements to equipment, processes, and safety standards.
* Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults and proposing preventative solutions.
* Maintain and repair the physical structure of the site.
* Request replacement parts, tools, and equipment when required.
