Job overview The Theatre housekeeper will work as an essential part of the theatre team under the direction/guidance of the Sister/Charge Nurse or their nominated deputy. The focus of the role is to support the team with non-clinical tasks, ensure the cleanliness of the clinical areas of the department is maintained to a very high level and help maintain a safe, clean, comfortable environment for patients. Advert w Maintain a safe environment in conjunction with other staff w Report any damaged equipment and required maintenance repairs to Theatre Administrator Maintain daily temperature checks of all fridges, non-medical and report any discrepancies. Making sure the theatre staff room is clean and tidy before and after main staff break times. Ensure changing room areas are clean and tidy, theatre scrub suits stocked up and tidy and theatre shoes fit for purpose.
