The role
As a CAD Digital Engineer, you’ll play an essential role in supporting the delivery of digital engineering across some of the UK’s most critical infrastructure and defence programmes. You’ll contribute to high‑quality modelling, data management and digital workflows that support the successful design, construction and operation of complex engineering assets.
Day-to-day, you’ll have an exciting opportunity to be part of a digital transformation journey within Naval Nuclear projects, where your work helps safeguard national security. You’ll gain exposure to cutting‑edge digital engineering methods and develop skills that will accelerate your growth across engineering, modelling, data assurance and digital delivery disciplines.
1. Producing templates aligned with project deliverables.
2. Providing management support to the content centre.
3. Managing asset information and ensuring the quality of engineering data.
4. Developing procedural documentation and processes for drawings, models and data exports.
5. Supporting buildability, clash detection and digital coordination activities.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office/onsite.
Essential experience of the CAD Digital Engineer
6. Experience in mechanical and/or process design.
7. Proficiency using Autodesk Inventor.
8. Experience using Vault for data management.
9. Experience with Plant 3D - Desirable
10. Ability to deliver quality‑assured engineering outputs in a regulated environment.
Qualifications for the CAD Digital Engineer
11. Qualified by experience.
