Trainee butcher.
The role:
In this role you will be trained by our skilled butchery team in all aspects of butchery. You will first be trained on poultry and assisting with other carcass work. Once skilled on Poultry you will then continue on to be trained on Beef, Lamb, Mutton, Pork carcass work. You will need to be physically fit as the job is very manual and requires you to be on your feet for the majority of the day. As part of your role you will be involved with all clean downs and where necessary you will assist in other areas of production when required.

* The hours will be 6am - 3.30pm, Monday - Thursday, 6am pm, Friday
* With Christmas being an integral time for the business, extra work and extended hours will be part of the role throughout November & December, especially during the two weeks leading up to Christmas.

* Knife skills required
* Knowledge of food safety.
* Good hand-eye coordination.
* Good spatial awareness/judgement
* Attention to detail and dexterity.
* An interest in meat and meat preparation and food in general.
