Financial Accountant Up to £48k DOE Staverton | Monday-Friday A fast-growing national company Work with a Top 50 UK employer in a fun, foodie, fast-paced culture Must have’s Strong IT and administration skills Excellent Excel skills, including reconciliations High attention to detail Experience working within a financial accounting environment Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) or QBE Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to build relationships across all levels Able to self-motivate and deliver accurate reporting to tight timescales Solutions-focused, able to manage multiple priorities A strong team player with good problem-solving skills Nice to have’s Experience within the Foodservice sector or a similar operational environment So what will you be doing? * You’ll be analysing and interpreting financial statements to support commercial decision-making * You’ll help business support teams understand and manage their costs * You’ll take overall responsibility for the company balance sheet, including fixed assets, leases and loan accounts * Managing the production of Statutory Accounts and accompanying notes * Reporting and budgeting for revenue and costs * Preparing and presenting period, quarterly and YTD reporting with KPI analysis * Preparing weekly reports for review * Producing daily and long-term cashflow forecasts * Processing authorised automated bank payments * Calculating and reporting customer rebates * Leading financial modelling and analysis for forecasts, budgets and business plans * Supporting audit and tax work to ensure compliance * Completing environmental (SECR) reports, insurance renewals and purchasing statistics * Driving improvements in reporting, systems, processes and timescales * Supporting financial and IT process/system projects * Championing ESG and food safety culture within the business * Promoting best practice in Cyber Essentials and data integrity * Contributing to a safe, inclusive and collaborative working environment What’s in it for you? 25 days annual leave Bank Holidays Staff discount on products Life Assurance Scheme Discounts across high street brands Personal Charity Support Cycle to Work scheme Tax-Free Childcare Free onsite parking Employee Savings Scheme Helpful extras * Based in Cheltenham with free on-site parking * Modern office with a collaborative team culture * Permanent, full-time role – 40 hours per week * Opportunity to grow in a progressive, people-focused company * Work with a Top 50 UK employer in a fun, foodie, fast-paced culture Our mission of ‘Making Recruitment Personal’ also means making recruitment fair.
