You will reinforce phonics, early reading, writing, and number work, help children stay engaged in lessons, and work closely with the teacher to support day-to-day progress. Teaching assistants support the class teacher to enhance learners’ progress either in groups or individually. The Candidate: You are patient, positive, and able to explain ideas clearly to younger pupils. You want practical primary school experience, enjoy helping children make progress in the basics that shape the rest of their education, and are keen to build the classroom habits needed for a future in teaching.
