You’ll be the steady, reassuring presence a pupil can rely on, helping them navigate their school day with confidence and comfort.
What you’ll be doing
* Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism
* Using structured routines to help learners feel safe and settled
* Supporting communication, sensory regulation, and emotional wellbeing
* Working closely with teachers, therapists, and the wider SEND team
* Helping pupils access learning in a way that works for them

* Have experience supporting autistic children or young people
* Bring patience, empathy, and a calming presence
* Understand sensory needs and how to support them
* Build trust through consistency and kindness
* Are open to guidance from specialists and enjoy working as part of a team
