We are looking for a fully qualified GTC primary teacher with experience or interest in teaching children within ELC settings on a peripatetic basis

South Lanarkshire Council schools have undergone an £m+ modernisation programme. We have invested significantly in modernising school buildings and this project is believed to be the largest and most progressive in the UK.

The agenda now is to provide high quality education which will inspire learners, transform learning and strengthen communities.

It is our mission to make positive meaningful changes in the lives of young people. We aim to provide an exceptional learning and working environment for pupils and staff and work in partnership with parents, support staff and other professionals.

We are the fifth largest local authority in Scotland and we want to harness the passion and commitment that you have for teaching – so why not come and join us.

We are committed to the education, care and welfare of young people in a childcare environment. You will work as an enthusiastic, effective member of the central early years team supporting settings to deliver a high quality curriculum and supporting the improvement agenda, as appropriate. You will be an innovative educator who will work in partnership with others.

In addition, you will have experience of working within an early years environment and will be committed to ongoing professional development and be in possession of a teaching qualification. You will be required to meet the registration requirements of GTC.

When completing your application, please ensure that you tell us about the following:

1. Please describe your previous experience of actively contributing to the development of an Early Level curriculum within an ELC setting.

2. What skills, abilities and experience do you have that would enable you to effectively contribute to the wider work of the setting.

4. Working in partnership with Early Years Managers, Practitioners and Support staff

5. Promoting the health, welfare and safety of children
