Position Overview
As a Research Nurse, you’ll play a pivotal role in the setup, delivery, and management of clinical trials. You’ll assess, plan, and coordinate care for research participants, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, ethical standards, and study protocols. Your ability to communicate complex information clearly and compassionately will support patients throughout their research journey.
This role requires autonomy, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. You’ll work across specialties and locations, promoting research opportunities to patients and clinical teams alike.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, effective care to research participants
* Ensure compliance with GCP, ethical standards, and study protocols
* Identify and recruit eligible participants for clinical trials
* Collect and manage accurate, timely data

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments

Required Qualifications & Experience
* Registered Healthcare Professional with current UK registration
* Proficient in English (written and verbal)
* Ability to critically appraise research and apply validated results
* Thorough knowledge of caring for patients with medical and surgical conditions
* Recent experience in ICU, acute medicine, or surgery
* Basic understanding of research governance and methodology
* Familiarity with drug therapies in general medicine and surgery
* Previous experience in data collection
