Role
We are currently looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated General Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team. This position will be based at our Upper Academy.
Salary Range: National Minimum Wage
Working Hours: 07:00 to 15:00, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities
* Be reliable, punctual and trustworthy
* Have the ability to work both independently and in a team
* Be someone with a good eye for detail who takes pride in their work
* Have a positive attitude and good communication skills
* Have an awareness of Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures
Duties
* Basic food preparation e.g. vegetables, salads
* Preparation of sandwiches
* Cleaning and clearing of food production areas
* Service of hot and cold food and beverages
* Replenishing counters
* Clearing and cleaning of counters of debris during service
* Clearing and cleaning of counters and service equipment after service
* Greeting customers helpfully and courteously
* Providing customers information about products
* Use of the cash register
* Keep limited records (e.g. counter checks and stock sheets)
* Assist with the preparation and service at special functions

Information about the School
