The Permanence Team plays a crucial role in securing long-term, stable outcomes for children in care. You'll work alongside a passionate and experienced team that values collaboration, innovation, and child-centred practice. Your new roleAs a Locum Social Worker within the Permanence Team, you will manage a caseload of children with plans for long-term fostering, adoption, or special guardianship. Your responsibilities will include:
* Undertaking assessments and developing care plans
* Preparing reports for court proceedings and permanency panels
* Liaising with foster carers, adopters, and multi-agency professionals
* Ensuring each child's voice is heard and their needs are met throughout their journey to permanence

* A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/Diploma)
* Registration with Social Work England
* Experience in children's social care, ideally within a permanence or long-term care setting
* Strong assessment, communication, and report-writing skills
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
