Milk Education is partnering with an all-boys alternative provision in Surrey to appoint a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant. This role involves supporting students academically and through mentorship, playing a key role in raising attainment and boosting confidence.
Milk Education is an eco-friendly, purpose-driven supply agency committed to making a positive change. We are working with a specialist setting in Lewisham, recruiting for a School Behaviour Mentor to support students across SEMH Primary and Secondary schools. There are two positions available: one at the Primary site and one at the Secondary site.
The ideal candidate will be flexible to work across KS1-KS2 or KS3-KS4, supporting students with SEMH by assisting with daily lessons and providing 1:1 and small group support. A positive role model, patient, and understanding individual is essential. This full-time position starts immediately, from 8:30 to 16:00.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide guidance and support to students through mentoring
* Assist students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals
* Offer advice and share experiences to aid development
* Create a positive environment conducive to learning and growth
* Monitor progress and give constructive feedback
* Collaborate with other staff to ensure the success of the support program
About You
* Previous experience in mentoring or coaching roles
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build rapport and trust with students
* Knowledge relevant to the students' goals
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others succeed
