Overview

Qualifications And Experience
Early Years Foundation Degree in Early Years studies and education or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
The hours of work are 8.30 am to 3.45 pm term time only Monday to Friday. = 33.75 hours per week, over 39 weeks with 4.6 weeks holiday entitlement. The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge of child development and children's needs. They must have detailed knowledge of current legislation relevant to the early years and a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage. The successful applicant will assume the duties of the Designated Safeguarding Lead and have experience in this role. They will be responsible for the maintenance and safety of the building and equipment and liaising with services for this. They must be skilled in working with families and parents to encourage their involvement in their children's learning and development. The successful applicant must effectively lead and manage an established staff team, including conducting performance management processes such as induction and supervisions. The post holder will be responsible for securing funding streams and marketing the setting to operate at full or near-full capacity. This is a unique opportunity for the right person and will be rewarded with a pension scheme, uniform, excellent working conditions, and a supportive committee. Interviews will take place the week commencing 28th April 2025, where successful applicants will be invited to discuss salary depending on experience and qualifications. There will be a 6-month probationary period, and the job holder will be required to have an enhanced DBS check and enroll on the update service.
