What Does a Cover Teacher Do? As a Cover Teacher, you'll deliver pre-prepared lessons when teachers are absent. You may cover a variety of subjects-from Maths and English to Humanities, PE, or Science-while maintaining a calm, structured learning environment and supporting students to stay engaged. This role is ideal for qualified teachers (QTS/QTLS) who enjoy variety, as well as experienced cover supervisors or unqualified teachers seeking a consistent, full-time placement.
