A successful pharmaceutical company is looking for a Research Scientist or Senior Scientist with expertise in antibody/protein biophysical characterisation to join its Antibody Humanisation and Engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused scientist who enjoys generating high-quality experimental data and wants to contribute to the future of AI/ML-driven antibody engineering and digital drug discovery. You’ll work within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team of wet-lab and computational scientists, helping to generate critical biophysical datasets that support the development of next-generation antibody optimisation technologies. Key responsibilities: • Generate and analyse biophysical data for antibody panels • Assess molecule quality and purity prior to characterisation • Evaluate properties including affinity, thermal stability, self-interaction and non-specific binding • Collaborate closely with computational scientists to support AI/ML model development • Present and communicate data across scientific teams • Support development of new antibody characterisation methodologies Ideal background: • PhD or equivalent industry experience in antibody/protein biophysical characterisation • Hands-on experience with techniques assessing affinity, stability and developability e.g. SPR, BLi, DSC, DSF, DLS, mass photometry etc. • Strong or...
