About the Opportunity: NRL is excited to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Principal Designer – CDM Advisor to join a leading engineering team on a major infrastructure project based in Gloucester. Take the lead in managing the Project Health & Safety File, engaging with key stakeholders to gather, organise, and maintain essential safety documentation.
Organise and chair Principal Designer coordination meetings and workshops, driving communication and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
Act as the link between CDM duty holders, the client, and contractors, ensuring regulatory risks are managed effectively and proactively.
Review and validate risk assessments, method statements, and associated safety documentation.
Ensure that all project stakeholders and supply chain partners meet CDM competency standards and maintain compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
A NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) and/or relevant H&S or Engineering qualifications.
Demonstrable experience in CDM and Principal Designer roles, ideally within regulated environments such as Nuclear or Defence.
Strong familiarity with construction site operations and the application of health and safety regulations at both design and implementation stages.
Qualifications or training in HSE auditing, backed by hands-on experience.
