Are you a hands-on, practical individual with a can-do attitude and a willingness to get stuck in? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established facilities team supporting student accommodation in Brighton. Working as a Fabric Engineer, you will play a key role within the facilities management team, carrying out a mix of planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a busy university estate. This is a varied, multi-skilled role where you will be involved in general fabric repairs, basic plumbing, painting and wider maintenance tasks, as well as supporting other trades when required. The successful candidate must have proven painting and fabric repair experience. This role requires a flexible, customer-focused approach, with the ability to respond to a wide range of maintenance issues, support contractors on site, and help maintain clean, safe and well-presented facilities. You will be expected to work both independently and as part of a team, managing your workload effectively while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard. We are looking for someone who is reliable, motivated and keen to develop within a busy facilities management environment. You should be confident working to health and safety procedures, able to carry out basic risk assessments and comfortable following statutory and site-specific compliance requirements. This is a short term, 2 month placement commencing at the end of June. If you are looking for a short term fixed placement, this could be an ideal opportunity for you. APPLY NOW!
