A vacancy has arisen for a dedicated, proactive, and collaborative Health & Safety Advisor at PD Ports within
the Health, Safety & Environment team, supporting our operations at Felixstowe.
Location: Felixstowe
Working Arrangements: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to support operational requirements
This is an exciting opportunity to join our established HSE team, supporting a fast-paced port, warehousing,
and logistics environment where your contributions will make a real difference to the safety and wellbeing of
our people and operations.
The five main things our HSE Advisor will be working on are:
* Supporting and leading the delivery of site health, safety and environmental inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments.
* Providing professional advice and guidance to operational teams on safe systems of work and promoting a positive safety culture across all levels.
* Leading on incident investigations, ensuring accurate reporting and identification of corrective actions.
* Supporting the roll-out and monitoring of PD Ports' group-wide HSE initiatives and compliance standards.
* Assisting with contractor safety management and site induction processes to ensure safe working practices for all visitors and contractors.
We Are Seeking Someone Who
* Holds a NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum, with a strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
* Has practical experience in a safety advisory role within logistics, port operations, warehousing, or a similar industrial environment.
* Possesses excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage teams and promote a proactive safety culture.
* Is confident working independently, prioritising workload, and managing site safety activity with minimal supervision.
* Is passionate about continuous improvement, bringing fresh ideas to help our teams stay safe and our sites operate to the highest safety standards.
