Our education recruitment team is currently working in partnership with a highly regarded Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bridgewater to appoint a dedicated Teacher. This is a full time, permanent role starting as soon as possible.
About The Role:
This rewarding position involves teaching and supporting children and young people aged 4 to 16 who are at risk of exclusion or have been permanently excluded from mainstream education. You will deliver personalised, engaging lessons in a supportive setting that prioritises emotional wellbeing and academic re-engagement.
As a Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering differentiated lessons to a small group of learners
* Working closely with HLTAs to co-plan and support classroom activities
* Acting as a key teacher/tutor for individual pupils, building positive relationships and tracking progress
* Supporting pupils with complex needs to overcome barriers to learning
* Delivering teaching across one or more sites in the local community
You’ll need a flexible, trauma-informed approach and ability to adapt your teaching to meet a wide range of needs.

* A solid understanding of SEMH and SEND support strategies
* Experience working with vulnerable or disengaged learners
* Strong classroom management and behaviour regulation skills

* A commitment to helping young people re-engage with education and build confidence
