Multiskilled Operator Renewable Energy |
Are you a hands-on Multiskilled Operator looking to make a real impact in the green energy sector?
This is your opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day operation and optimisation of modern anaerobic digestion (AD) and biogas plant systems turning organic waste into clean, sustainable power and contributing directly to the UKs net zero goals.
Youll work across two well-invested biogas sites in Lincolnshire, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
The Role:
Operate, monitor, and maintain anaerobic digestion, gas upgrading, and gas injection systems
Perform daily plant checks, monitor feedstock levels, and record operational data
Respond to alarms, identify faults, and carry out corrective maintenance
Manage spare parts and maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime
Oversee contractors on site, maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards
Ensure all operations meet SHEQ and Environmental Agency regulations
Support analytical testing and performance optimisation projects
Take part in the site call-out rota and provide cover when required
About You:
NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Multi-skilled background across industrial, utilities, process, or agricultural environments
Experience in anaerobic digestion, biogas, or renewable energy (advantageous)
Confident with mechanical systems, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance
Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
IT literate, comfortable using Excel and digital reporting tools
Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel between sites
