Role Overview
Cloughside College is seeking an excellent teacher to lead our outreach education provision. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to support young people who are temporarily unable to access mainstream education due to medical needs.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuity of learning and supporting reintegration into school. You’ll deliver a blend of face-to-face and online lessons to a cohort of 12-15 students each week, working closely with an Assistant Headteacher to provide a curriculum that promotes recovery, progression, and future aspirations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Teach engaging curriculum lessons that deliver high-quality outcomes for pupils.
Collaborate with health professionals, schools, attendance teams, and external agencies.
Teach Science or Maths up to GCSE (other subjects will be considered for an exceptional candidate).
Support students’ wellbeing and educational outcomes.
Use online platforms and ICT confidently to enhance learning.
Work across multiple sites (maximum travel distance approximately 5.5 miles).
Requirements
Ideal Candidate:
A qualified teacher with a proven track record of engaging hard-to-reach learners.
Experience in mainstream or special school settings.
Passionate about inclusive education and committed to going the extra mile.
Flexible, compassionate, and dedicated to student wellbeing.
Confident in planning for mixed-age and ability groups.
Strong ICT skills and familiarity with online learning platforms.
Experience in delivering extracurricular or enrichment activities is a plus.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
A full driving license and be prepared to work across different sites and in student homes if required.

Practical Details:
Salary: Main Pay Scale 1 to Upper Pay Scale 3 + Additional Allowances (approximately £5,920).
Location: Cloughside College Hospital and Community Sites (all within 5.5 miles).
Contract: Full-time (Part-time considered for exceptional candidates).
