Sancta Familia Catholic Academy Trust is seeking an experienced and highly organised governance professional to lead and coordinate all aspects of governance across our growing family of schools.

About the Trust
Launched in February 2025 with five founding schools, Sancta Familia CAT is a cross-phase family of Catholic schools built on the principles of love, service, humility and faith.

About the Role
The Head of Governance will ensure the Trust is governed to the highest standards through clear structures, compliance, and accountability.
You will:
* Lead Governance & Compliance: Develop and embed a strong governance framework, ensuring compliance with company and charity law, the Academy Trust Handbook, and ESFA requirements.
* Provide Strategic & Operational Support: Advise the Chief Executive and Board, oversee governance operations, and align systems with the Trust’s Catholic mission and strategic aims.
* Deliver Executive Administration: Provide high-level organisational support to the Chief Executive, including coordination of meetings, documentation, and communication between the Executive Team and governance layers.
* Build Governance Capacity: Lead induction and training for Directors, Governors, and Clerks, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
About You
You’ll be an accomplished governance professional with excellent organisational, analytical, and interpersonal skills, able to influence at Board and Executive level. You’ll bring integrity, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and values of the Trust.
