About Our Client

* Administrative Officer
* Not-for-profit organisation
* Monday to Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am-4pm
* Based in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, office based
* Occasional evening & weekend work may be required
* Occasional travel within the Midlands or London Head Office may be required - expenses paid

Job Description

* Provide general office administrative support for member events
* Support work on communications including website and newsletters
* Support lead volunteers to ensure that event preparation and administration runs efficiently
* Respond to enquiries, research venues, take bookings, chase payments, reconcile finances
* Arrange and support meetings including minute taking
* Office admin, answering phones, managing post, managing filing

The Successful Applicant

* Excellent IT skills including the Microsoft package
* Ability to build effective working relationships with volunteers and staff at all levels
* Excellent verbal communication skills dealing with enquiries both incoming and outgoing
* Excellent written communication skills including emails, letters, writing of minutes and reports
* Able to manage budgets and carry out financial reconciliations
* Ability to build rapport and work effectively with external partners and organisations
* Knowledge of volunteering procedures desirable
