Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 General Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Newham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils in Key Stage 2.
As the general Year 5 Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the teacher; children with their English and Maths and manage behaviour in the class etc.
Although not assigned one child to support, the expectation is that all the children in the class are supported to access learning.

Pay rates of between £93 -£102 PAYE (AWR after 12 weeks) is being offered.

Hours
Full-time, Monday to Friday
Approximately 08:30- 15.30
The Role
Supporting the Year 5 class teacher with the delivery of lessons
Working with small groups to reinforce learning in English and Maths
Providing targeted support to pupils who require additional guidance
Assisting with classroom preparation and resource organisation
Promoting positive behaviour and engagement in line with school policies
This larger than average Newham Primary school is well organised, friendly and with a clear behaviour management policy which children are aware of.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience working in a primary school setting (preferred)
Strong understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum
Confident supporting literacy and numeracy development
Patient, proactive and adaptable
Able to work effectively as part of a team
Who should apply:
An experienced teaching assistant or graduate living in close proximity to Newham
An Enhanced Child Only DBS and/or Overseas Police checks
