The Client
Our client is a leading joint venture contractor delivering essential infrastructure works within the water and utilities sector. With a strong pipeline of secured projects on the Southern Water AMP8 framework, they are looking to strengthen their delivery team with an experienced Project Manager.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex civil engineering and utilities schemes, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will provide leadership to project teams, manage client and stakeholder relationships, and oversee all commercial, operational, and safety aspects of delivery.
Responsibilities

Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams to deliver water and utilities projects across the AMP8 programme
*
Develop project plans, programmes, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client requirements
*
Monitor progress, risks, and costs, providing accurate reporting to senior management and the client
*
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
*
Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and direct workforce to achieve programme and commercial targets
*
Maintain strong relationships with Southern Water and other stakeholders to support collaborative working
*
Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and value engineering within projects
Candidate Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Project Manager within the civil engineering, utilities, or water sectors
*
Strong background in delivering projects under NEC contracts
*
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholders
*
Commercially aware with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting
*
Strong focus on safety, quality, and programme delivery
*
Degree qualified in civil engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
Location
Hampshire, with travel to projects across the Southern Water AMP8 region
