This Business Development Manager role, focused on Accessible Vehicles within Dawsongroup Bus and Coach, offers the chance to work with NHS trusts, local authorities, and wider public sector organisations, helping customers access flexible and innovative passenger transport solutions.
You will play a key role in developing new business opportunities across the public sector, building long-term relationships, and supporting the continued growth of a highly respected business. This is a home-based role with a strong focus on territory management, customer engagement, and commercially driven relationship building.
* Developing and managing new and existing customer relationships across the public sector and accessible vehicle market
* Identifying, pursuing, and converting new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, and tender activity
* Delivering presentations, supporting project implementation, and providing excellent customer service throughout the sales process
* Managing your territory effectively, ensuring strong pipeline development and consistent commercial activity
* Working closely with internal stakeholders to support sales strategy execution and continuous business improvement
About You
You will be a commercially focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships and creating opportunities within complex customer environments. Whether you have worked as a Business Development Manager, Regional Sales Manager, Public Sector Account Manager, or Commercial Manager, you will understand the importance of credibility, responsiveness, and long-term customer partnerships within the transport and public sector markets.
You will also be comfortable managing tender processes, engaging with multiple stakeholders, and navigating structured procurement environments. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently will all be important in this role.
* Full UK driving licence
* Proven track record managing B2B contracts within the public sector
* Territory management experience with the ability to manage customer pipelines and regional growth opportunities
* Experience working within commercial industries involving local authorities, NHS organisations, or public sector tender processes
* Strong presentation, communication, and customer relationship management skills
