QA Engineer / Technician – Manufacturing
Location: Lancashire
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per annum
We are seeking a detail‑oriented QA Engineer/Technician to join our manufacturing team in Lancashire. This role is critical in ensuring that products meet quality standards, customer specifications and regulatory requirements throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct in‑process and final inspections of manufactured products
* Develop and implement inspection and test plans (ITPs)
* Identify, document and investigate non‑conformances and quality issues
* Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality and reduce defects
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality systems and health & safety requirements
* Maintain accurate quality records, reports and documentation
* Assist with internal and external audits
Requirements
* Previous experience in a QA/QC role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001) and inspection techniques
* Experience using measuring equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometers, gauges)
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Relevant technical qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent preferred)
