Support Worker - The Pines
Location: The Pines, Tunbridge Wells, TN2 3GU - Rural setting – Drivers Essential (Manual Preferred)
Salary: £11.44 per hour (equiv. to £23,264 per annum) + £45 sleep-in payment (per shift)
Hours: Full-time (39 hours) & Part-time (Minimum 29 hours, fully flexible)
Shift Patterns:
1. Early: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
2. Late: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
3. Long Days: 7:30 AM – 10:00 PM
4. Every other weekend or two weekends per month required

At Avenues, we create a positive and supportive environment where both staff and the people we support can thrive. The Pines is a supported living service providing care for 15 individuals with complex needs, including autism and learning disabilities. The individuals we support range from mild to profound needs, with some requiring mobility assistance and hoisting. Each person lives in a self-contained flat with a bedroom, shower room, kitchen, and living area.

Who We’re Looking For in our next Support Worker:
9. Proactive individuals who take initiative and manage time effectively
10. Basic computer and written communication skills
11. Experience handling money and basic maths skills

Your Role as a Support Worker:
13. Assist with personal care, health, and nutrition
14. Plan and participate in daily community outings and social events
15. Support individuals in managing behaviours
16. Provide full support for medical appointments and work closely with healthcare professionals
17. Promote independence through everyday tasks such as meal prep and laundry
