Job Title: Manufacturing Technician – Wiring (FTC 18 months) and Permanent
Hours: 4 day week Monday-Thursday / 37 hours per week. Start time is flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. There is free on-site parking and an on-site canteen.

Your role sits with the Optronics and Missile Electronics [OME] business unit in Glasgow, performing manufacturing tasks in accordance with engineering drawings to the required quality.

Role and responsibilities
What you’ll do…
* Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
* Escalating Health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
* To perform complex Manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation provided to the quality standards expected in a timely and professional manner.
* To adhere to the defined Company processes when carrying out all tasks
* Performs self-assessment and approval of products
* To input and support any continuous improvement actions being worked on within Industry
* To be able to detect any fault or non-compliance and if necessary raise the alert. In addition when able should contribute to diagnostics and the finding of the cause/root analysis
* To manage and record build configuration of product
* To use the company tools (ERP, Palma etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks
What you’ll need
* Experience in wiring
* Ability to perform complex electrical operations involving wiring and component soldering to IPC standards
* Experience building electrical assemblies
* The ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
* Eligible to obtain full SC clearance.
