Graduate Civil Engineer – 2026 - London

As a Graduate Civil Engineer, you will become part of our Building team, delivering award-winning public-sector projects including Bath Spa University, the Royal London Hospital, and Bristol schools. In the private sector, we focus on commercial and mixed-use buildings. Our London expertise has contributed to a portfolio featuring some of the capital’s most iconic landmarks, such as The Gherkin and Heron Tower. Together, we are building a better society by shaping the future with innovation and purpose.
What you'll do:
1. Plan and produce methodologies for mobilising and setting up sections of work
2. Utilise surveying skills to set out details for construction
3. Work with subcontractors to ensure the timely preparation and implementation of Risk Assessments & Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans, Permits & Consents
4. Site coordination and logistical planning to enable works to be carried out safely
5. Identify the needs for temporary works and completing temporary work designs working with the temporary works team
6. Maintain a high standard of Quality Control and Quality Assurance records, including managing Non-Conformance Reports and Early Warning Notices
7. Produce accurate and detailed daily diaries for your work areas
8. Work collaboratively with enabling teams, for example in Traffic Management, Earthworks, Utilities and Community Relations
9. Complete environmental risk assessments for works and assist in managing works activities in an ecologically sensitive manner
What you'll bring to the role:
10. You are in your final year of achieving an ICE accredited degree in Civil Engineering, or have recently graduated
11. Enthusiastic about learning, personal and professional growth
12. Able to take information from drawings to implement efficient planning services to the business
13. Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
14. You have a strong interest in innovation, sustainability and making a positive impact
15. You work collaboratively towards shared goals and targets
16. You are motivated to work in site-based environment
