A friendly and supportive nursery in Wallsend is looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their pre-school room, supporting children as they prepare for their next steps in learning.

Start Date: January
Position: Full-Time – Early Years Practitioner (Pre-School Room)
* Support the learning, development, and wellbeing of children aged 3–4 years in the pre-school room
* Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities aligned with the EYFS framework
* Promote independence, curiosity, and confidence through creative learning experiences
* Assist with daily routines, including mealtimes, personal care, and transitions
* Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning for individual children’s progress
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents and carers
* Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
* A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or working towards one)
* Experience working with pre-school aged children in a nursery or early years setting
* A warm, patient, and child-centred approach to learning and care
* Good knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding procedures
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
