CPL Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with our client for a Design Manager on a permanent full-time basis, based in Co. Derry
Our client:
1. One of the country’s most well-known and successful names in the property development and construction space, with offices across the UK and over 40 years’ experience, multi-million turnover along with being a multiple award winner.
The role:
With a full copy of the Job Spec available on request, the Design Manager will:
2. Have full responsibility for overseeing all project design, always ensuring compliance.
3. Programme and manage the design process from tender stage through to preferred bidder to construction stages with management and influencing skills.
4. Manage design and commercial risk with an eye on making the most of all value engineering opportunities.
5. Collaborate with project teams, CDM coordinator and ensuring all designs meet regulatory and statutory requirements such as Planning Conditions, Building Control and BREEAM.
6. Review and implement requirements with a flair for being cost effective.
The person:
7. Qualification in Construction, Technical Design or related discipline – HND minimum.
8. 3 years minimum working in the construction space.
9. Confident in dealing with clients, site teams and subcontractors; an excellent communicator verbal and written along with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
10. A record in being able to work on several projects simultaneously, while able to meet deadlines.
11. IT proficiency.
12. Current, valid UK driving licence.
