Role Details Role/Job title: Agile Coach cum Scrum Master Work Location: Birmingham Mode of working Hybrid /office based: Hybrid If Hybrid, how many days are required in office? 3 days The Role For which they require a Scrum Master who can also operate as an Agile Coach. This may not be a full-time Scrum Master role, so we need someone who can flex across both and providing hands-on Scrum Master support while also coaching teams, shaping Agile behaviours, and guiding them through early-stage transformation. Your responsibilities: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Facilitation & Delivery Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives. Ensure the team follows Scrum principles and practices effectively. Support the Product Owner in backlog refinement, prioritization, and maintaining good backlog hygiene. Track team commitments, capacity planning, and ensure predictable delivery. Impediment Removal Proactively identify and remove impediments that block team progress. Escalate systemic or organization-level blockers appropriately. Team Coaching & Continuous Improvement Coach teams on Agile values, Scrum framework, and empirical process control. Help the team strengthen collaboration, transparency, and self organization. Drive improvement actions captured in retrospectives and measure progress over time. Metrics & Reporting Use delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time, throughput, WIP, defects, etc.) to help teams improve. Provide data-driven insights to stakeholders without compromising team autonomy. Your Profile Essential skills/knowledge/experience: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition) Strong experience as both Agile Coach and Scrum Master Ability to work in a greenfield, evolving environment Experience in setting up Agile practices from scratch Strong facilitation, stakeholder collaboration, and coaching skills Tools & Technology - Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro Metrics, Analysis & Continuous Improvement Leadership & Stakeholder Management Exceptional communication skills Relevant certifications on Agile Coaching certification, Scrum master PSM I/II, Agile certifications Desirable skills/knowledge/experience: (As applicable) Agile & Scrum Framework Expertise Coaching & Facilitation Skills Delivery & Product Skills Change Management
