SOC Manager
Our client requires a Contract SOC Manager to take the lead on their day-to-day Cyber Security Operations. This is a hands-on role where you’ll bring structure, clarity, and momentum to an evolving SOC environment.
1. Day Rate: £600-£650pd
2. IR35 Status: Outside
3. Travel: 2 days a week in Liverpool Office
4. Duration: 6 months initially
Responsibilities:
5. Overseeing the day-to-day running of the SOC, supporting and growing a small team of analysts while ensuring smooth delivery across in-hours and out-of-hours operations.
6. Taking ownership of our security tooling (including Darktrace, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender), improving how these platforms work together to strengthen detection and response.
7. Leading the development of a Cyber Threat Intelligence capability, including the introduction of new tools
8. Making sure threat intelligence is not just collected, but meaningfully embedded into SOC workflows to drive proactive defence.
9. Managing and improving the relationship with the current external SOC provider, while playing a key role in an upcoming RFP process to select a new partner.
